The Fellowship of Joy

"These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete."
1 John 1:4

John wanted to share the truth of Christ's life with others. His testimony would bring greater faith and joy to those who received it, and that in turn would complete the Apostle's own joy. When we have a relationship with the Lord, we find a joy that is not dependent upon happy circumstances. In fact, some of the greatest joy we encounter is when things are at their worst. There is something so unique, so amazing about this kind of joy that we can't keep it to ourselves. We have to share it with others. Upon hearing it, their faith is strengthened, resulting in more joy for them. Our own joy is then made complete. This fellowship of joy continues, as long as we are willing to testify.

  1. Amen Sister Nancy!

Throughout all of 2012, it is my prayer that all Christians will experience this completeness of joy that John speaks about. I hope that in this time in history that every Christian will be bold and openly testify to their relationship with Jesus Christ. The Gospel is desperately needed in this generation and all Christians need to share the hope that Jesus Christ desires every soul to trust in Him and that they would receive His love and gift of eternal life.

I have experienced this joy in my life and there is no other joy like it. And I have also seen this joy in others that have faithfully shared the Truth in God’s Holy Word with others and seen them come to a personal relationship and saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in their life.

Thank you for this Word from God and the reminder to us all that our joy as Christians is not fully complete until we testify of Jesus Christ to others. God bless you and keep “Watching” and “Praying!” Pastor JR Lawson
