Seek Wise Counsel

"Without consultation, plans are frustrated,

         But with many counselors they succeed."

Proverbs 15:22

There have been occasions when I made hasty decisions, instead of taking the time to think through the situation and plot a good course of action. The outcome was always disappointing. How much better it would have been to first seek God's counsel through prayer and meditation on His word. Then if His answer was not clear to go to a trusted, spiritually mature friend to ask advice. Sometimes God uses the wisdom of others to guide and direct us.
