Turn to Meet the Day

"The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want."
Psalm 23:1

We wake in the morning with no idea of what the day will bring. It may be a day filled with only good things, or it may be a day that brings heartache. Life is very fragile, but we have a Savior who will shepherd us through whatever we are enduring. We can find peace and satisfaction in His arms by practicing His presence. By focusing our attention on Jesus and allowing Him to speak to us through scripture, through prayer and through our worship. "Lean thine arms upon the windowsill of heaven, and gaze into the face of thy God. And then, with the vision full in your heart, turn to meet the day." (Author Unknown)

The Eternal Rock

"The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock;
         And exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,"
2 Samuel 22:47

Our God is dependable. He is our eternal rock. All else may fail, but He never will. He is mighty to save and in His care we can rest without fear. Exalt the Lord, for He is worthy of our praise!

Consider His Blessings

    Bless the LORD, O my soul,
 And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
    Bless the LORD, O my soul,
         And forget none of His benefits;
    Who pardons all your iniquities,
         Who heals all your diseases;
    Who redeems your life from the pit,
         Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
    Who satisfies your years with good things,
         So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Psalm 103:1-5

The blessings of the Lord are endless. If He did nothing more than redeem us, that would be enough. Far more than enough. But the Lord's love and kindness extend beyond our salvation to our daily care. He is infinitely interested in our welfare. We have a wonderful God. Consider how He has blessed you and praise His name!

Caring for His Garden

"He waters the mountains from His upper chamber." Psalm 104:13

Imagine the Lord watering the mountains from heaven as we might water our gardens. What an awesome thought!
